This book was beautiful in so many ways. Each character brings their own experiences and perception of life. Based on a friendship and famous painting. Ted honors the life of his best friend with pure love. Fulfilling his friends dying requests. Bringing the painting to life with the story of childhood friendship. Not sparing the reader the trauma, heartbreak, joy and fear as experienced that last summer through the eyes of 4 friends.
